Restaurant/lunch options

The generous support from ISBlue allows us to organise the conference with no registration fees, providing free, twice-daily, coffee breaks and a drink & nibbles reception on Tuesday 24 June.  Participants must however cover their own lunch expenses.

We have arranged a lunch option with the Restaurant associatif de Kernévent (located on-site), which can provide hot meals for the three conference days at a cost of £33 per person. These lunches must be booked and paid in advance, hence participants willing to use this option are required to pay by 2 June 2025, using this link.  Please note that for technical reasons on the website, the payment indicates `conference fees’.

Participants who prefer to make their own lunch arrangements can find a list of options below, but we will not collect money nor organise this for participants:

  • Gourmand mais pas que“: they ask to know if many people come at the same time for lunch (space is limited)
  • Creperie FIP (Google maps)
  • At Ste Anne du Portzic (just below, 15 min by foot), there is the “Hotel Restaurant du Bois – nice setting but a bit expensive – except if you just have a sandwich (Google maps)
  • Going upslope on the other side (this may require to take the bus or to have a car – otherwise 30 minutes by foot), there is “Brasserie du Portzic – called in French “restaurant ouvrier” quite good but often full
  • Next to it, there is a “Kebab”/sandwicherie (Delly’s kebab, Google Maps)
  • Next to the sandwicherie, there is a Bio shop (Google maps)
  • Other eating places are in La Trinite Plouzane – need for a car.
