Travel to Brest

The easiest way to travel to Brest from continental Europe is by train using the TGV fast train. It takes about 3.5 hours from Paris (train station ‘Montparnasse’). It is also possible to take the train directly from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (with a change in Rennes), then it takes about 5/6 hours.

By plane, many airlines provide flights to Brest international airport (BES). More information on Brest Airport website. There are regular shuttles bus connecting the Airport with the tramway going to Brest city centre. You can also book a taxi (about 30-40€ to downtown):

Travel to the site of the conference

The conference will take place on the “Technopôle Brest-Iroise” in Plouzané, in the Pôle Numérique Brest Iroise (PNBI), room 207.

To come to PNBI from Brest city center, bus transport (BIBUS) is the preferred option. Two routes are available:
– Bus 2b (destination Technopôle) from “Liberté” to “De Rochon” stop. Schedule.
– Tramway A from “Liberté” to “Porte de Plouzané” (terminus) and then bus 2b (destination Technopôle) to “De Rochon” stop.

From “De Rochon” bus stop, climb few hundred of meters. PNBI (GPS 48°21’34.7″N 4°33’52.0″W) is on the right.

Accommodation

If you stay in Brest city center, there are plenty of options. For easier access to public transport to the Technopole, make sure you stay near Place de la Liberté, Siam or Port de Commerce.
